On the eve of Bhogali Bihu, a high-level inter-school quiz competition themed “Nature and Culture” (Prakriti aaru Sanskriti) was organised by “Hansadhwani”—a nature, art, and cultural organisation—at the premises of Srimanta Sankardev Kristi Bikash Kendra Maligaon Namghar.

Distinguished writer and translator Vivekananda Choudhury and renowned actor and theatre personality Deepjyoti Kakati graced the event as Chief Guests. Both delivered insightful speeches to the students on topics related to nature and culture.

Following a captivating cultural performance by the students of Sankardev Shishu Niketan, Boragaon, an exciting quiz competition was conducted under the direction of quizmaster Saurav Talukdar.

After a thrilling contest lasting over three hours, the results were announced:

1st Place: Uddipana Sharma and Anurag Verma (Asam Jatiya Vidyalaya)

2nd Place: Pratyush Priyam Kashyap and Harshanga Raj Deka (Sankardev Shishu Niketan, Maligaon)

3rd Place: Kangkana Barman and Mrinmoy Kalita (Railway Higher Secondary School)

It is worth noting that around 20 schools participated in the competition, with students from Netaji Vidyapith Maligaon, Sankardev Shishu Niketan Boragaon, St. Francis D’Assisi School, and Bethany School showcasing outstanding performances.

The founding secretary of Hansadhwani, Sangeeta Medhi, announced that the winners will be awarded cash prizes of ₹5,000, ₹3,000, and ₹2,000, respectively, along with mementos, certificates, books, and saplings, during a formal award presentation ceremony to be held by Hansadhwani at a later date.
